I think we can steal Urbit IDs, and use Bitcoin for the fair and permissionless distribution, no sale, no transfer, no renewal, nothing, just short human readable names.

But for this to work, it will have to be immutable (no transfer) which means it will have to point to something that can mutate, like #pkarr or if you must npub, although if you are going to adopt new ID, might as well enjoy what the Mainline DHT has to offer.

I should be able to share a proof of concept soon. But I would like feedback, questions or criticism if you can think of some.
