I mean, it's not just you. Presumably the users and community you serve would like to see more engagement.
I used to have an alt on a masto site (it got banned obviously) but it was really depressing, getting like, no engagement. Then when I visited the pleroma and akkoma sites I was replying to, my hot fire takes had like 6 or 7 emoji responses usually.
Consider setting up misskey, pleroma or akkoma. Consider taking down the mastodon site after a graceperiod if a majority of your users make the switchover.
