We recently had to get away from a family member because the situation became extremely hostile. It’s funny, I mentioned that I bought this book to them but neither they nor I bothered to even try to read it.
I try to listen to people too but I often run into trouble when people either:
- never give me space to say what I think after
- aren’t honest and open enough for me to even figure out how they feel
