Comfort with kissing/intimacy scenes?
Everyone seems to be assuming intimacy = sexy times...which I'm not really comfortable writing. It's not that I don't think I can or shouldn't, just that it really isn't a factor that I consider in telling a story. I don't even like kissing and telling in real life all that much. Mostly because I think it's a consent matter; just because they consented to sleeping with me doesn't mean they consent to me discussing it with others.
That said, kissing and other intimate moments, very different. Intimacy is far more than sexual and those moments are what I look for. Real connective moments. The ones that make you melt into a soft puddle of feel good brain chemicals. Where you recognize "wow, I like this person a whole lot, like maybe they get me."
