I have completed my 3rd book with the help of ChatGPT. It’s completely revolutionized my creative process.
But anyone that just takes the ChatGPT output at face value is damn fool.
I have to edit what ChatGPT produces extensively, and then use ProWritingAid, and then edit some more.
Still.
It’s probably reduced by 50% - 75% the amount of time it takes me to write.
The drafts I write in Google Docs with the GPT for Sheets & Docs extension.
Then I take the Google Docs output and bring it into Scrivener.
Using Google Docs and the GPT for Sheets and Docs extension means I can pretty much keep ChatGPT from hallucinating and have it remember key facts about the setting, characters, and the plot.
It also let’s me experiment with different directions and plot developments. I just need to make a new copy of the document I’m working on and can experiment. And if I like the direction where things are going I can keep it or discard it.
