I'm grateful for fellow women.

Took my little one to the park, it was sort of last minute, so I didn't have what I normally carry on me to make me feel safer. There was only one woman there feeding her baby. I took my LO to the swings and am swinging him. Suddenly this sketchy guy in a hoodie comes up and sits on the swings near us. He's drinking from a water bottle which obviously has alcohol in it and he starts talking to...me, himself? Saying how this was the last place he expected to be today. He's definitely not in a good mood and seems unhinged. So I say out loud "look buddy, it's our friend's over there." And take my kid over to the woman feeding her baby. I tell her what's going on and she's more than understanding and tells us to hang out with them. Found out she was from Canada, probably why she was so nice. It was a good interaction. The man obviously didn't bug us, as there's safety in numbers during the day.

The sketchy guy eventually left but I'm just thankful I can go up to a woman like that and they instantly understand.
