this week's Sunday afternoon matinee film was "The Housemaid" (dir. Kim Ki-young, 1960) and what a great film it is, I'm so glad I imported this
starring Kim Jin-kyu as a piano teacher who's cosy middle-class falls apart after he employs a young housemaid, played by Lee Eun-shim. this film is dark af in places, and very claustrophobic. so tense!
the restoration is great, but there are a couple of sections where they lost the original film and the quality drops dramatically
