I think there is a fuzzy line between "mistake", i.e. the author is likely to immediately agree to the objection and and "I meant what I said" where the poster is not going to immediately agree. (and social media just isn't an engine for persuasion)
I got no idea what you're subtooting, so I'm just talking about social media dynamics.
