Just tried what has got to be the 10th time to get #WiFi on #FreeBSD to work. Tried native drivers as well as net/wifibox. Neither a BCM4360 nor a USB RTL8188CUS work. Having tinkered around with this for years, I’ve come to the conclusion that, for actual real-world use, the FreeBSD wireless stack is crap. Sorry for being so blunt. I’m frustrated. I like FreeBSD so much and want to use it as a desktop but if feels like it’s actually fighting me at every opportunity due to driver issues.
