#ChatControl political brainstorm
quoting note1zva…ldhkFor The Netherlands I'm unsure. Usually it's Minister of Justice who pushes for this crap. The previous one, Yeşilgöz, actually liked it. She ignored a motion from Parliament that opposed it. That's probably why The Netherlands is now listed as neutral.
The current Minister is Van Weel, from the same political party.
The current cabinet in general is not known for its love of privacy, with a former spy boss as prime minister. Or rule of law for that matter... So I'm a bit cynical.
Our best bet might be to contact some NSC folks to raise this issue, e.g. Teun Struyckenz is "staatssecretaris voor Rechtsbescherming". ("voor" means they're not in charge of anyone, so I guess they have free time?)
