I personally have been pleasently surprised about the level of interaction between everyone, no matter the follower count or similar.
Though I realize that that might be due to the bubble of people I now communicate in and it's not necessarily a universal experience, so that's why its interesting to hear about another perspective.
Though when I used to be on commercial social media, this was probably the main thing that drove me away from them back then.
