Without cookies for user authentication web simply cannot function. That this mechanism can be used for privacy abuse is unexpected side effect that we now see as evil, and it’s solved by simply prohibiting 3rd party cookies, and we need other solutions, but you wouldn’t be able to log in to mastodon, for example, without cookies.",
