Got to pack for my weekend away. We’re catching the train to London tomorrow late morning (we’re taking a packed lunch!) ready for my friend’s 50th birthday party, which is on a canal boat on Saturday evening departing from Paddington and… what does a canal boat do? Not sail. Proceeding up to Camden Lock. There’ll be music, paella and a bar on board. All my old school friends are coming, including my English bestie, who I rarely get to see.
We decided to go the day before to make a weekend of it, we have dinner booked at Chutney Mary (an upmarket Indian restaurant) tomorrow night and we’re going to mooch about central London in the day on Saturday.
Kind of weird to feel like a tourist in London now after all those years of living there.
