Most bees (the bees who do most pollination) aren't domesticated, but honeybees absolutely are have been for a long time.
I think the greater issue is thinking the bees that need saving are the domestic ones. They are doing OK. There were some issues with mites but keepers have mostly adapted from what I've read.
But that factoid about how bees pollinate most food and flowering plants we depend on? Most of the bees doing that are wild bees, bees that don't even make honey.
