Yes that's true but I also think genetics play a big part. Some men are born with much higher, stronger testosterone & muscle naturally passed down through genetics from their parents which which gives them an advantage and allows them to recover faster than men who didn't receive those genetics.
I had a work friend who has extremely good masculine genetics and doesn't work out. I met his dad and he got his father's genetics. He's mother was quite strong too compared to the average everyday women.
