One canard that you often hear from lib NPCs is the road subsidies that indirectly subsidize "car companies" and other evildoers. It always was liberal bullshit.
One time I saw a pie chart, proudly displaying in California DMV, where only 5% of the vehicle license fees went to highways. Another 5% went to CHP. The 90% went to general fund! If the state weren't stealing so much money from car owners, California would have shit like electric charging lanes and illumination along every road! And they weren't even hiding it!
