But as Wark, and other commentators like Varoufakis use the term, a "capitalist" is someone who makes most by hiring labour to make things for sale. Whereas someone who makes money from owning things is a "rentier", and someone who makes money from control of the money supply is a " usurer".
I haven't read Capital myself, but it may be that this is how Marx himself (who coined the word "capitalist") used these terms.
