Flew to L.A. to go see David Gilmour at the Hollywood Bowl. He played two sets of mostly solo music and leaned heavily on the post-Waters era when approaching the Pink Floyd canon. His guitar playing was sharp, subtle and emotive, vocals have developed a slightly ragged tone and really dug in animating the song book. The quartet of female singers expanded beyond the Leslie-ified "oohs" and "ahhs" to execute gorgeous choral work in the English tradition. Oh and there were lasers, dude.
