Perks of being a #RightToRepair enthusiast with a hobby that necessitates collecting materials of small dimensions.
The "pin" (aluminum sheet rolled into a tube) in my... eight? nine? year-old Aviators' left muff sheared this morning. Found out that I just bought brass rods of similar (as in 1/16" vs 1.5mm) diameter! All I need to do is pop out the fragments of the old "pin" and fashion a new pin from the brass rod.
