I feel that modern #mathematics is very pompous but actually manages to announce very specific details without all the generality and clarity it claims to have. Watching many lessons on youtube, one perceives a lot of emphasis on symmetries, morphisms, and categories, but then when it comes down to it, I get the impression that there is a lot of self-congratulatory celebration of a few results without honestly recognizing how much remains not fully understood.
