About Signal… One more time… Forcing people to verify one of their xkeyscore strong selectors (their MSISDN, i.e. „phone number“) in order to use a service is a bad idea. Nudging them constantly to volunteer their phone‘s contact list - on top of already getting access to their social graph of verified contacts - is even worse. No pinky-promise and „but it‘s awesomecakes UX for dumb people“ will make this right. Point in case:
