i have moved physical disks to external USB storage

USB is now as fast as SATA anyway

those drives have limited life span if they are always spinning and doing something they probably will die

so all my internal drives are NVME

and my external USB drives are 50/50 half of them SSD and half rotational

rotational is good for movies or anything you never plan to use

SSD good for software as you can install or run it from there without slowing down
