It's fun to read contentious cooking discussions because it's a good reminder that there is *literally* no objective truth when it comes to the "best" way to cook something.

"Don't soak your lasagna noodles beforehand, they'll get mushy!" I like them softer, tho

"Don't pepper your meat before you sear it, the pepper will burn!" I like the taste of burned pepper, tho
