B-Movie is a British new wave band formed in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, in 1978, emerging from the remnants of a local punk outfit called The Aborted. Initially named Studio 10 (after a hairdressing salon), the band settled on "B-Movie," inspired by an Andy Warhol painting.

"A Letter from Afar" is B-Movie’s sixth single and a polished synth-pop gem produced by John "Jellybean" Benitez, known for his work with Madonna.
