I watched with dismay a video of a policeman grappling with a suspect he was trying to arrest and as they struggled on the ground people were standing around filming it on their phone (which of course is why I could watch the video as it was posted to Facebook)
I thought, is this what we have come to?
The only reason we can watch as someone falls, or drowns, or is set on fire, or wrecks their car or has any kind of accident is because someone else filmed it, just stood there and did nothing.
