Not very safe. The developer of the website you're entering your private key into could grab it and save it in their database and then he'd have access to your account and could post in your name. It's best the private key never leaves your local system.

You can use browser extensions for nostr logins, like Alby or nosx2 on desktop or Amber on mobile. They store your private key locally and handle all logins with other clients.
