I think it's time for me to start making a plan to downsize my life. I don't think I'm ever going to get married, and at 46 years old, I know I am not going to have children at this point. I don't need a two bedroom apartment with a living room. Really, all I need is a room big enough for a bed and a desk. I don't even really need my TV anymore. I need a less expensive living arrangement so I don't need as high paying a job.
I'm more interested in simplicity and downsizing. I wonder if it is possible to find shared housing arrangements in my area. I'd like to get my rent closer to 600-700 a month instead of 1200.00. That 1200 does not include gas, electricity, and Internet. In my current situation, should I lose my job, I have very little in terms of a safety net and nobody to turn to.
My mind is on a lot of weighty matters tonight. I need a way to make things simpler because I almost constantly worry about losing my income. While definitely not a healthy worry, it's there nonetheless because there is no social safety net and I don't know where to go. If more of what I earn could go into savings, it would go a long way towards easing my worry.
Anyhow, thank you for listening!
