PSU students have chained themselves to the entrance of the Admin Building/Neuberger Center.

Statement from students chained to the building:

We, the students of Portland State University, refuse to remain complicit in the ongoing apartheid, occupation, and genocide of the Palestinian people that has been ongoing since the abhorrent creation of the western military proxy state of Israel in 1948.
The decision of the self proclaimed
“feminist scholar”, Ann Cudd, to welcome a militarized police force on our campus to brutalize, violate, and sexually assault our fellow students who have taken a similar stance in opposition to this ongoing violence is utterly unacceptable.

The ability for this horrific monster of a bourgeoise academic, who has built a career defending the violent system of capitalism that benefits women in the Global North at the expense of women in the Global South, to laugh in the faces of victims of brutal police and sexual violence when confronted for her complacency and responsibility is unforgivable. Ann Cudd has shown us that she does not care for any human lives except for those that directly line her pockets and maintain her authoritarian rule over our university.
The events on campus have solidified the fact that our struggles are all interconnected - from the Palestinians displaced from their homeland by the brutal military forces that train the violent, fascist police in the colonial project of the United States, to the students who rise up and resist against cruel administrators that view us as disposable bodies to become capitalist wage slaves and continue the bloody legacy of the US war machine, whose violence they happily subject us to - weight of the chains we wear extends across the world, and we must all rise up and remove their shackles together.

In honor of a REAL feminist, and not a spineless coward who will never know what it means to fight oppression and be an inspiration for the marginalized women of the world, the admin building on our campus that currently occupies Indigenous land will from here forth be known as "Leila Khaled Hall".

We encourage our community to join us in this protest and be on the right side of history. Stand next to us and share the physical weight of these chains we wear.

Our community called for autonomous action.
We answered.
