Like say you set the early side of the bracket at the most recent ancestor that would materially change the anatomical meaning of what is meant by "a mostly human shaped creature doing a backflip on level ground and totally landing it, on purpose as a matter of learned habit." We have probably been doing backflips for as long as there was a discernible joint definition of "we" and "backflips."
what would be the recent side? Lots of people have lived near water and had diving rituals that are backflips, lots of people have had dances that are basically backflips, so probably evolutionary timescales ancient, but whats the latest you could justify people having not done a literal, jump from standing, cleanly defined backflip?
