My son has been having a rough time lately. Nothing atypical, just finding his own way. Testing boundaries and making bad choices. He’s been a little sad.

I took him for a walk yesterday. We don’t say much. We walk, listen, observe each other and smile. We came across this big guy and sat and watched him for 30 minutes. I told him, that it’s okay to be sad and lonely but to remember to keep his eyes open and listen, as there will always be a world here to love him.
