Don’t fret my friends in WGA and SAG AFTRA. With every quarterly call like NBCU’s today that claims that profits are up, especially off of blockbusters like Oppenheimer, rest assured that our leverage grows. 1) they can afford to pay us 2) they need us to continue that growth with MORE blockbusters. Peacock costs them $651 million to run and the theme park won’t cover that. They need to come to the table to make sure the next quarter doesn’t take a nose dive, which they are terrified of.
