Potentially useful thought: other than [Jarte](
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jarte ), is there any other (hopefully continuously supported) solution for a lightweight rich text editor to replace WordPad when Microsoft finally pulls the plug?
As much as I love LibreOffice, my workflow absolutely requires a clean interface that stays the heck out of my way so I can hammer out ideas rather than lose them fiddling with bullshit. Font style, color, and alignment. Anything beyond that is too much.
