If you write I cannot recommend Scrivener highly enough. I just moved all my nonsense from my old laptop to a desktop, and in doing so, being a bit of an ass, I managed to delete my finished, lovingly edited novel, including my back ups. Don't ask me how, it's a talent. However Scrivener had made several auto back ups so all I lost was one modest rewrite. Mac and Windows only, sadly. You get a 30 day trial and it knock ordinary WPs into the weeds.
