People have accepted the narrative they get from the "responsible" authorities.
"If it were really that bad they would tell us, they would not tell us to go back to normal".
Maybe they have accepted that a better world is not possible, which they have also heard a lot.
It does look to me though that many people are dismissing any attempt to call attention to the risks.
I get that a lot with people I know. "It's just another respiratory virus", "I'm vaccinated, it's just a flu now", "I had already".
With many I just stopped touching the subject.
But maybe that's just a coping mechanism or a quick answer to push back.
