He doesn't say anything crazy new, but as usual it is a very good blog post summarizing a lot of the history and arguments.
What i found strange about it, though, was giving central value to "freedom", "order" and progress, but not mentioning "security". I get that he's trying to couch it in ways that can appeal to the more privacy skeptic, but this ends up being overly convoluted. No serious person can argue against the necessity of security.
