I believe that good moderation is a very important part of managing any instance. So when my admin is deciding whether to federate with another instance, I’d like them to consider carefully whether that instance’s past moderation decisions have served to protect its community of users.
For example, have there been any genocides?
I can’t stress this enough: even one genocide is a really bad sign.
