For sure! I do think threat models implemented by most people are pretty silly. Maybe my idea of perfect is so far removed from what people consider "practical" though. I watched shops get their camera and computer systems invaded by the FBI with secret warrants and have had friends get their smartphones taken after being pulled over or phones/laptops taken at airports. When one of the nearby shops got raided we watched them pull out those computer terminal things (i think that's the celelbrite machines?) and "download" copies of everyone's phone that was in the building before being detained. They used literal memes they found on their phones in the court case.

I refuse to have anything worth taking on me in public.
