I keep hoping that Americans will separate "wealth" from "virtue, knowledge and credibility" and yet, I see the same people in the news after being proven liars and frauds held up as persons we should listen to and believe.

You can make up stuff all you want if you're rich enough and it will be reported as truth and you will be treated like a serious person who is worth listening too.
