On a slightly more serious note. I remember when it was being built. They talked about how, there was no point in making a collider any bigger than the LHC, because you couldn't get any closer to the speed of light.
Fast-forward to a year or two ago, and I watch an interview where they are, refitting the LHC so that they can put way more energy into the magnates. I don't recall the scale, but it was a lot (I want to say 10x).
If they can't go any faster, than what in the crap are they pushing against with all that extra energy? Some of the best evidence for the true purpose, being crossing dimensions that I've encountered to date.
