#OpenBSD ships xlockmore (`xlock` command) in base. This has the nice feature where it can be configured for a custom screen power off delay while the screen is locked, independent of the normal setting that you use while unlocked.
On #Debian, I miss that. I want my screen to be off when locked, and on when unlocked. Gnome does this by default, but I use MATE. I might also switch to some standalone WM, and Debian doesn't ship xlockmore. xscreensaver doesn't support this option.
