Hey young coders, please make sure your website or app has a light mode as well as a dark mode. As people like me get older, our eyes get worse, and dark mode can become intensely difficult to work with, because small light text on a dark background generates a ton of afterimages that blur vision and cause fatigue.

You may love dark mode, and your website may look super cool and cyber and all but light mode is an #accessibility concern. Include a switch. And don’t forget to respect the user’s default setting on their desktop.
