"content": "I wouldn’t say *entirely*. Java in an IDE in debug-mode actually provides you with an almost-REPL that can hot-reload code changes most of the time — as long as you know what to avoid — and its reflection (introspection) capabilities aren’t too shabby, though unwieldy and slow, so you have pretty dynamic infrastructure disguised in this extremely static language.\n\nAnd that—merging two opposites—is something that can aid in success. Other well-funded efforts got lost after all.\n½",
