I've heard so many stories of old school players where adventure became superb due to encumbrance and food/water rules and... It still required someone to do the tedious work of counting A LOT of stuff. Why should I know how much food donkey eats in a day and how much it can carry and how far can it go? Why should I count it?
I would really like to run or play in exploration-focused adventure but improvising everything turns into tedious counting in the end.
