Semi-OT: I find #printers discarded on the street almost daily, but never any other kind of electronics.

I rescued a couple in the past years (oddly enough I love printers) and they always worked flawlessly in spite of often horrible firmware.

I am starting to believe that people don't own printers anymore not because they don't want/need/have space, but because they have gotten so atrociously capitalistic that it is impossible to operate one without huge costs and tons of proprietary apps
