If I think I might want to see that bit of content at a later time, I download it. Whether they're PDF or text or pictures, Web pages, etc. I try to download so that I have my own copy.
IMO far too much on today's Internet goes 404 or even NXDOMAIN.
(Explaned: IMO means "in my opinion", 404 is "resource not found", NXDOMAIN is "DNS name doesn't exist" and PSA in the tag is "public service announcement" 😇 )
