I like the idea of Encrypted Channels in Nostr (using Nostr_console). It lets you create a new encrypted channel, generates a channel name and ID. I'm assuming anyone can query these channel ID's, but they will be unable to enter them without their pubkeys added by the original admin of the channel.
Entering a channel and typing "/help" (without quotes) shows additional commands to view members, add pubkeys of participants who you permid can join the channel and I believe reinvite all sends a secret password (need to test how this gets sent). Messages can then be relayed encrypted between the members of this channel/group. I think this is a good idea for E2E messaging. I am yet to test this fully with another test user but it looks promising.
