I have to say, I've never been in a drinking establishment and even considered only getting bottled drinks.
The only reason I avoided mixed drinks was the price, and during most pub outings I'd mostly just drink tea or tap water anyway (=cheapest options).

The closest I've got to spiked drinks is hearing vague rumours that there "may be" people "out there" who spike drinks. This sounds to me like another problem that's very unevenly distributed geographically.
