Thanks for the tutorial. I have several OG Jades, and would get the new model if the old ones no longer performed. One small point... I have yet to see a YT tutorial showing the passphrase feature during setup. There might be one; but so far I haven't seen it. Someone setting up a Jade in the way you showed might think they could later create a passphrase. But they would have to reset the device, go to "advanced", and re-enter the seed phrase in order to create a passphrase.
I don't know about the new model, but on the old Jade, it is not so clear how to create the passphrase. Maybe most people know what the little check mark and "x" on the bottom right of the screen mean; but I had to find out by trial and error. (i.e. the 'x' is to select case/digits and symbols needed to create a passphrase.
I know this (and most other) tutorials was for basic setup; but I think passphrases are becoming more accepted by plebs; and maybe shouldn't be relegated to tutorials along with the much more advanced mult-sig.
One other small point... this video mainly focused on the QR mode. You mentioned the Jade's anti-exfil protocol (AFAIK the only device other than BitBox 02 to have it); but this protocol only works with the USB cable connected. I asked a Blockstream mod on X about this and it was confirmed. So air-gapped is maybe not 100% effective.
One last thing. I like that you used Sparrow Wallet, and that it was in dark mode. Most videos use light mode, and I can't read them with my low res monitor. I also could not use QR mode on my OG Jades with my older laptop. My new laptop can manage it; but it's slow. I recently linked another Jade device to Sparrow; and the QR scan took a long time. I have three other OG Jades linked to Sparrow, and the expub was transferred via USB cable. Now it seems that is no longer an option with Jade on Sparrow. I could be missing something; but I could only see the QR option available.
Apologies if I misuse any terms. I'm just a low tech Boomer in a Bitcoin world.
