Labour have taken Blackpool South with a swing of 26%.
Although turnout was naturally lower as it usually always is in a by-election, Labour's Chris Webb took 58.7% of all votes cast, and turned a previous Tory majority of 3,690 into a Labour majority of 7,607.
David Jones of the Tories was one of only two other candidates to even retain a deposit. And only just avoided finishing in third place.
He took 3,218 votes (17.4%), while Mark Butcher of Reform finished with 3,101 (16.8%).
