Today is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Soviet troops. I have friends whose grandparents were there that day or who were forced on the march west--and of course many, many millions more were never liberated at all but systematically murdered upon arrival. And that is only one site of Nazi atrocities. In the middle of all this denialism and the rise of far-right nationalist parties worldwide I hope we #neverforget what is at stake.
